On Tuesday, King Charles welcomed members of the Indian menâs and womenâs cricket teams to Clarence House. The event was facilitated by Manoj Badale, Co-Founder of Blenheim Chalcot and Founding Chairperson of the British Asian Trust, in celebration of the close sporting and cultural ties between the UK and India.
The visit came just a day after the Indian menâs team faced a narrow 22-run defeat at Lordâs, placing them 2-1 down in their five-match Test series against England.
Meanwhile, the Indian womenâs team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, marked a historic milestone, securing their first-ever T20I series win in England with a 3-2 victory.
Players from both squads were introduced to His Majesty by Manoj Badale alongside BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia.
