Jenny Watts appointed COO at Countrywide’s digital adviser Dynamo
Ex-Habito COO Jenny Watts joined digital remortgage adviser Dynamo today, a collaboration between property giant Countrywide and ‘Venture Builder’ Blenheim Chalcot. Watts exited startup Habito in October last year, two months after her promotion to COO.
Dan Cobley, former head of Google in the UK and Ireland and Dynamo chair has been building the Dynamo product, team and proposition, another self-styled digital disruptor.
The Hammersmith-based adviser, which said it offers ‘a better way to remortgage online’ will launch in ‘early 2018’.
Adviser numbers are unclear, but its mission statement said: ‘Dynamo will let you know when it’s time to remortgage, making sure you’ve got the opportunity to get the best deal, one that works for you.’
Jenny Watts, COO, said, “I’m super excited to be joining the team at Dynamo. The Dynamo brand may be new but the joint venture between Countrywide and Blenheim Chalcot brings together the UK’s largest mortgage broker and the UK’s leading digital venture builder – truly a fantastic partnership.
“There is already a strong team in place so I am looking forward to working with the talented people already in situ. We will be launching soon so watch this space.”
The live website said the firm has a team of designers, developers, data scientists, and mortgage experts, “harnessing their talent, passion and diverse thinking to change the mortgage industry”.
It said: “We’ll also keep you updated with newsletters including remortgaging news, advice, and the top available rates, so you never miss a trick.”
The Blenheim Chalcot team supporting Dynamo offers startups ‘resource, infrastructure, network and experience’ which it suggests will improve the likelihood of success for a startup.
The website states: “It’s a hands-on model where experienced entrepreneurs work side by side with the company’s founders, and all businesses have access to a central pool of shared services, such as physical facilities, legal advice, finance expertise, talent acquisition and online marketing.”
